Memorial for Patrick and Catherine Hanrahan

Patrick Hanrahan was born at Loughrea, Galway, Ireland on in 1784 and died at Mount Pleasant NSW on 30 November 1858. Catherine Hogan was born at South Creek NSW in 1807 and died at Mount Pleasant NSW on 19 September 1865. They were married at Hartley NSW on 15 January 1851 but they had been living as man and wife since 1828. Patrick had firstly married Euphemia Young at Castlereagh NSW on 15 April 1816 and he waited until after her death to marry Catherine Hogan even though Catherine had already borne him seven children. They are buried in White Springs Cemetery at Black Springs NSW along with a large number of close relatives.
